DIY Costumes

Halloween is coming up, do you know what you're going to be? I love this Beehive costume that I found on Martha Stewart's website. She actually has some really great DIY projects that are cute, creative, easy, and elegant. Like this Rose Garden. How beautiful, not just for a little girl but any woman as well. I thought this Spider and Web costume was really sweet for mommy and baby. When I saw this little munchkin dressed up like a Turkey Dinner I laughed out loud and sent it to my friend, Nikki, begging her to dress up her new baby like this. Same with this sweet little Cupcake Girl. How funny! the sparkly shoes go perfect with it. If you need some inspiration, Martha's the place to go, check out her website for some awesome ideas! So what are you going to be?

Flannel Forever!

For some reason I got stuck in the '90's. I love everything about this decade. Wayne's World, Nirvana & Pearl Jam, and Bill Clinton. But what I really loved were those cozy flannel shirts that everyone used to wrap around themselves with their favorite band t-shirt underneath (My old Alice in Chains t-shirt still sits in the closet, unworn for years.) Everyone used to wear them with ripped up jeans, Birkenstocks or Doc Martins, and totally undone hair. Well, these wonderful plaid pieces have made a come back, although this time they're a little more chic. Check out Kirsten Dunst in her sweet flannel with some ultra short shorts and cute flats. You can wear them belted over leggings, or with a pretty cardigan, skinny jeans, and great leather boots.

Speaking of Crispy Fall Bike Rides

The grocery store is less than a mile from my new apartment and once I decide on one of these truly amazing baskets from Adeline Adeline , I will be riding there daily for fresh produce and wine. Adeline Adeline is one of those unique shops you only find once in a while. Beautiful designs that you are excited to buy, use, wear, and show off.  This beautiful Klassic Klara three speed with fat tires screams to be rode all over town while jingling this brass Crane Bell . I am especially excited about the baskets though. These two baskets are both detachable, so you can hook them to your bike, bring them into the store to fill with baguettes, tomatoes, crusty bread, olive oil, and Pinot Noir, then reattach to your bike and ride home. All while staying safe in these too stylin' to call helmets helmets . With their polished brim, they look less like helmets and more like chic caps. They even offer these great helmet covers that mask the helmet look. Check out their website , pump up your tires, and ride your bike all over town.

perfect fall clothes

Here in Kansas City it has been like, 180 degrees during the day for the past two weeks. It is awful and I am dreaming of fall. Golden leaves, pumpkins on front stoops, cripsy bike rides, and my favorite of all sweaters, boots, and scarves. So here are my picks for the perfect fall outfit. Loving this plaid shirt and olive green cardigan by j. crew , a pair of perfect jeans with these amazing tall tabacco boots by Ugg, and this great carry everything bag by Fossil . Now if it would only drop 50 degrees so I can rock it.
